What is a Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP)?
A Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP) is a community-led process aimed at creating a long-term guide to how we will grow as a community over the next 10-20 years.
What has happened so far?
We are now still in the pre-planning phase of the CCP. So far we have had our first round of community meetings in spring (April 12, 2023 in Mission and April 19, 2023 in Skatin). Many members attended both meetings including all age groups – youth, Elders, members living in urban areas and members living in Skatin.
During the meetings, members completed a Health and Wellness survey for Skatin’s Health and Wellness Plan and participated in engagement activities for the CCP.
The information collected from both the survey and engagement activities will be used to guide the next steps in the CCP process.
Here is a brief summary of what people have said is important in the community meetings.
